Bokakhat, Golaghat District & four further locations · ₹190 Crore anchor · MNRE Flagship · GOBARdhanThe Integrated Water Hyacinth Circular BioCBG cum Cryogenic Dry Ice Complex at Bokakhat is the anchor: the first large-scale plant anywhere on water hyacinth and bamboo feedstock — likely the largest in the world of this kind — presented to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam and developed alongside Numaligarh Refinery. From Bokakhat, the programme extends to four further locations across Assam, on the path to a 50-unit statewide replication and India's first carbon-positive state.
Every tonne of the invasive weed harvested at 1,200 TPD becomes CBG (NRL, GOBARdhan price), cryogenic dry ice (SICGIL), and FOM & LFOM organic fertilisers (Prabhat) — four LOI-backed streams worth ₹199.98 Cr a year, while the Kaziranga buffer beels restore naturally within about 18 months.
The full Bokakhat project — crisis, process, lifeline, NRL partnership and funding — is detailed on the Yogan Green Bokakhat page.
The Techno-Economic Viability Report for Bokakhat and the replication framework for the further locations are available on request.
